Sightseeing In St. Louis
I didn't take the Downtown Trolly but as usual just wandered, heading for anything that looked interesting. Of course I got to Busch Stadium and took the tour and lots of pictures.
Here's the proof, and proof that even though I do lots of walking I never seem to lose weight!
Then I went to an evening game which we won, and the Cardinals kindly celebrated their loss with an amazing display of fireworks.
I've already shown one picture of the outside old courthouse which is now a museum of local history. This is the dome from the inside - very impressive and patriotic.
Stretching west from there, right in the middle of downtown is a long and lovely park filled with water features, very well used when I was visiting.
Further uptown, a short ride on the Metro away, is the enormous Forest Park (1,293 acres!) It encompases a zoo, museum, art gallery, tennis courts, golf course, planetarium, and you could still get lost in the woods!
