Giving Thanks

It's a beautiful Canadian Thanksgiving Monday here in Cobourg.

And while yesterday's sermon reminded us that we need to work harder at saying, "That's enough, thank you" in regard to material things, it's hard to imagine getting enough of day's like this. And certainly the weather will change, though not for a few days at least.

On a strictly personal note my expectations of moving this year will not come to pass. The developer of the property on which I've made a down payment doesn't expect it to be completed until at least next March. So far there isn't even a hole in the ground and until that happens my house isn't going up for sale. And then I know that homes aren't selling well right now, so who knows what will happen?

Part of the reason for downsizing to a condo is to make it easier to travel. I'm thinking a week every month or two - not big trips but just enjoying getting to other places. But speaking of big trips, Oberammergau's once-every-10-years Passion Play will be on in 2010 and tours are available now. I wonder....
