Next Door





I woke up yesterday to some very strange noises outside my bedroom. There's a vacant lot there, but not for long. My downstairs neighbour and I were hoping for a swimming pool, but the developer says "no". By day's end today the basement for a new home has been completely dug and covered with a surprising coat of straw. Surprising to me anyway, and I haven't yet asked what it's doing there.

I'm glad it's going to be a single family dwelling, not another fourplex, and I'm planning on keeping a record of construction through my front (side) door.

Interesting - my last post was about a house burning down and now this one about a new house being built. Such is life!
